| Farmers like these bugs: ESP 333 Microbial Formulations for Agriculture |
A new and innovative way to deliver and maintain microbial cultures in agriculture brings our patented, in house line of formulations and delivery methodology to western U.S. farming regions. Our customers are seeing increased crop yields and nutrient values, reduced irrigation demand, and greater flexibility in how and when chemical applications are managed. In addition, soil tilth and surface/subsurface water qualities are improving.
Last year successful agricultural testing returned on average an extra ton of alfalfa per acre per cutting on acreage in Nevada. Farr Ranch at Battle Mountain, Nevada, saved over US$20,000 in 2004 across 8 full circle pivots (about 1000 acres) because of reduced pivot operation. The additional biomass created by our microbial formulations opens the soil to hold water better at depths as far down as 12 to 24 inches. The microbes work to increase penetration and soil aggregate size, to opitmize water retention around the root zone.
Kenny Cade, Cougar Mountain Hay, Oregon, was elected the 'Dairy Hay" (premium alfalfa) champion by the Oregon State Alfalfa Growers in 2003 after using Hydrologix microbial formulations via our proprietary delivery methodology.
Another farmer treated his dairy lagoon with the microbes to keep the water from clogging (because of a surplus of cow dung). This water was pumped onto the corn sileage and resulted in 13 foot high crops, usually only 9 foot high.
Demand for the Hydrologix Microbial Blocks has risen 400% over the last year.
